Structured cabling design and installation is governed by a set of standards that specify wiring data centers, offices, and apartment buildings for data or voice communications using various kinds of cable, most commonly category 5e (CAT-5e),category 6 (CAT-6), and fibre optic cabling and modular connectors. These standards define how to lay the cabling in various topologies in order to meet the needs of the customer, typically using a central patch panel , from where each modular connection can be used as needed.
Working as a team, both the client and ETM Consultants will develop an understanding of present and future needs. A technology based review of all involved systems will provide the team with the information necessary to plan for an infrastructure that will perfectly fit the client’s needs. This cooperative design effort will culminate in a Request-For-Proposal (RFP) and drawings that will provide the client with a set of documents that can be used not only for bidding purposes but also as a road map for future growth and expansion.
